Shame

Few things hold us back more than the fear that others will judge us, and reject us as not good enough. Deem us ‘unworthy’.

Here’s one of the best descriptions I’ve ever seen of how we either embrace or avoid the real stuff of living; how we either fling ourselves into the full experience, or else medicate – and numb ourselves to life itself.

The #1 enemy you will conquer in your life is your fear of shame. Rise up, stare it down:

A young man called Patrick bought a donkey from a farmer for £100

The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.

He turned up and said, “Sorry Pat, I have some bad news. The donkey died”

Pat replied, “Well then just give me my money back”

The farmer said, “Can’t do that. I’ve already spent it”

“OK then, just bring me the dead donkey” says Pat

The farmer asked, “What are you going to do with him?”

“I’m going to raffle him off”

The farmer said – “You can’t raffle a dead donkey!”

Pat said – “Sure I can. Watch me.  I just won’t tell anybody he’s dead”

A month later, the farmer met up with Pat – “What happened with that dead donkey?”

“I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two pounds a piece and made a profit of £898″

The farmer said – “Didn’t anyone complain?”

Pat said -  “Just the guy who won.  I gave him his two pounds back! “

Deep down you know there are people out there, right this minute, foaming & fizzing with passion over something you would find, err, boring, or you may not have even heard of.

If you follow my teachings you will understand that it’s the SYSTEMS of bringing ‘things’ to market that are important, not the ‘thing’ itself. Let me ask you: Is this a poor mans hobby? Are those guys skint?

“OK Dave, so yes, this is a great niche, rabid enthusiasts, spend plenty without reason. So how do I make money with this insight – I don’t know diddly squat about RC models, so where’s my angle here?”

Well, hre are a few ideas to have the niche market create its own product, which you will then sell back into it!

1. Buy a few magazines or visit online forums
2. Make a list of 20 ‘authority’ names. Maybe they write columns or articles.
3. Email /call / write to them & say you are doing an ebook called “The Top 7 Mistakes Of RC Modelling” and would they like to contribute their 7 & get a mention?
4. There will be at least 7 ego driven, well considered, structured replies
5. Compile the ebook, and have a minisite made HERE (£30 Silver Package)
6. Advertise the book back to the same audience (I’ll tell you how in another post)
7. OR offer a JV to ANYONE with a RC website on a 50/50 split!
8. Put it on Amazon using their ‘Create Space’ publish on demand / Kindle service
9. Offer ANY RC model hobby site owner the resell rights

This all started from researching the number of  VIEWS some niche videos get on YouTube. They dont have to be in the millions if the niche is tight enough, for example, it gets up to 115,000 views, but do you know what a ‘Chicken Tractor’ is?

So whats the big deal with this cookie stuffing?  Well, about $15 MILLION in affiliate commissions is all!
